KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Nepal recorded 1,490 new cases, 1,567 recoveries and nine deaths linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one day.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,490 new cases of COVID-19 were detected through 8,300 PCR tests conducted at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

Nepal has reported a total of 236,246 coronavirus infections as of Wednesday.
The country has now a total of 16,547 active cases of the coronavirus. As many as 218,161 people who earlier tested positive for the virus have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Altogether, 1,538 people, including nine in the past one day, have succumbed to COVID-19 across Nepal so far, the ministry said in its daily COVID-19 updates on Wednesday.
