KATHMANDU, April 16: Nepal recorded nine new cases of COVID-19 along with 44 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 4,043 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, six PCR and three antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 410 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 382 are in self-isolation, 18 in institutional isolation, nine in ICU’s and one on a ventilator. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded two cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. The cases were reported in Kathmandu district.
