KATHMANDU, Sept 3: The government has issued a circular to all subordinate offices to celebrate Constitution Day for three days. Accordingly, Constitution Day is being celebrated on September 18, 19 and 20 with various programs. The Day has been celebrated on Ashoj 3 (this year Sept 19) every year in celebration of the drafting of the constitution by the Constituent Assembly in the year 2015 (2072BS).
The Constitution Day Main Celebration Committee has given instructions along with the approved program to the three tiers of government, including all ministries.
Govt decides to celebrate Constitution Day for three days
According to the revised program, there will be eight different programs including lighting oil-fed lamps in government and non-government offices on September 18, while 12 programs have been fixed for September 19. On the main day of the Constitution Day celebrations, a program has been decided to hoist the national flag at public media and at the homes of the common citizens as well as celebrating Dipawali in the evening.
Similarly, it is mentioned in the circular of the government that various programs will be held from the Nepali embassies, diplomatic missions, provinces, districts and local levels on September 20.
