The premiere of one of the most awaited Hollywood movie ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ was held at QFX Labim, in Patan, on Thursday by Nepali distributor Apple Entertainment.
The premier saw the presence of many Nepali celebrities, including Nir Shah, Manisha Koirala, Namrata Shrestha, Nisha Adhikari, Sushil Shrestha, Paramita Rana, Meen Bahadur Bham, Sipora Gurung, Sharad Bheshawakar, Karma, Saurav Jyoti and Suraj Baidya, among others.
Spiderman swinging its way to Nepali audience’s heart
Speaking at a press conference held at the event’s red carpet, Manisha Koirala, who had come with her mother, said she was planning to produce a Nepali movie soon. Manisha added that she had been a fan of Bollywood movies since her childhood.
Nisha said ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ was the first movie for her and Sarad after their marriage. Similarly, Namrata was accompanied by her beau Dawa Steven Sherpa.
Nakim Uddin, owner of QFX, said he had an emotional attachment with the film as the first Spiderman movie was released at the same time when QFX Jai Nepal was established. He added that he wanted to promote national as well as international films, and enhance the standard of movie-going experience in Nepal.
Apple Entertainment, an active distributor of Hollywood movies in Nepal, has successfully premiered ‘Logan’ and ‘Boss Baby’ prior to this.
