CHITWAN, July 22: With the objective of curbing accidents, cable barrier system has been installed in Narayanghat-Mugling road section. This system has been used in two of the most accident-prone areas of the highway.

Shiva Khanal, engineer of Narayanghat-Mugling Road Project, said that the wire-rope safety barrier has been placed every 500 meters along the highway. These safety barriers were placed by a Chinese team. This is the first time cable barrier system has been used in Nepal. This has been possible with the help of Chengdu (Sichuan) Zhiquan Highway Facility Manufacturing Co Ltd of China. This is a reliable medium for road safety recognized worldwide, said engineer Khanal.
