According to organizers, the rally will start from the Basantapur Durbar Square and conclude at Gokarna Forest Resort. Subisu´s Wi-Fi service in Dhangadi
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Subisu Cablenet has launched its retail Internet service in Dhangadi. According to a press statement issued on Sunday, users can now avail Subisu´s Wi-Fi service in Dhangadi. Earlier, the company was providing Internet and intranet service to corporate offices in Dhangadi by optical fiber. "Subisu in association with STS Cable Network will provide Wi-Fi service to small ofice and home users in Dhangadi. For home and office use, retail customers in Dhangadi can get minimum bandwidth of 128Kbps at reasonable price," the statement added.
´Strengthen trade ties with China´
KATHMANDU: Business people have urged the newly appointed Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala to strengthen Nepal-China economic relation. A delegation from Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI) led by its president Rajesh Kaji Shrestha met Koirala, who is also the minister for commerce, supplies and industry, at his office on Sunday. Saying that the country can attract huge amount of foreign investment, Shrestha asked the government to create investment friendly environment in the country.
He also apprised Koirala of the interest of Chinese investors to open Chinese bank in Nepal and invest in infrastructure, hydropower and tourism sector. Shrestha also demanded that the government establish Special Economic Zones (SEZs), standardize quality of Nepali products for quarantine certification and develop trade infrastructure. On the occasion, Koirala urged traders to boost exports so as to reduce widening trade deficit.
Civil Bank´s calendar documents
KATHMANDU: Civil Bank has published a calendar for 2070 BS including information about numismatics history of Nepal. Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the bank said the new calendar features the first money that was used on Nepali soil along with insightful historical events and changes in Nepali currency history. “This calendar is aesthetic, insightful and will be a collector´s item for the future. All school children and other students would love to have it hanging on their walls,” Kishore Maharjan, CEO of the Bank, said in the statement.
