Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs´ National Federation (NTENF), the apex body of transporters syndicate, took a decision to this connection on Tuesday and issued a circular to all its members to book tickets in advance to the aspirant festive travelers accordingly. [break]
“We expect the number of festive travelers, moving out of the Kathmandu Valley, to increase by 25 percent this year,” said Saroj Sitaula, president of NTENF, adding that they have also arranged maximum number of counters and manpower to facilitate the booking.
NTENF has also appealed to the customers to buy tickets only from authorized booking counters so that they are not cheated. It has also sought help of the security agencies to step up security in areas like Gongabu and Kalanki as these places are expected to be overcrowded during the festive season.
The federation has also urged the traffic police to take necessary steps to effectively enforce safety norms for the convenience of the travelers.
