Blackout hits Deukhuri as fire guts transformer

DANG, Oct 2: Blackout has seriously hit Deukhuri area after Lamahi-based transformer of Nepal Electricity Authority caught fire on Tuesday night.



The transformer with capacity of 11 KV had been installed in Lamahi to supply power. [break]



Fire fighters had used a fire engine to bring the fire under control before it spread to the office building of the authority.



The power supply has been disrupted around the areas including Deukhuri, Lamahi, Bhalubang, Rihar, Gadawa after the fire destroyed the transformer in Lamahi
