KATHMANDU, April 18: Lyricist Basanta Thamsuhang has launched his new album entitled ‘Yayabar’ amid a function organized by Geetkar Sangh Nepal (Lyricist Association Nepal) in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The album was jointly launched by Ratna Shamsher Thapa (lyricist), Chuda Mani Devkota (president of the organization), Ishwor Ballav (musician), Shrawan Mukarung (author), Yogendra Mani Dahal (lyricist), Dinesh Adhakari (lyricist), and Basanta Thansuhang (lyricist).

The album comprises seven songs: Yayabar, Na Marnu Na Bachnu, Pradayaka Ti Pal Haru, Kina Aaja, Aafnai Muhar, Ae Chandramukhi, and Nasodha Sathi.
Singers Bhishan Mukarung Rai, Bhabin Dhungana, Bhuma Limbu, Karma Gyalchhen Bomjan, and Lasimit Rai, have given their voice in the album. Ambar Gurung, Shanti Thatal, Paras Mukarung, and Aavash are the musicians of the album.
At the launch, Ishwor Ballav and Shrawan Mukarung made critical appreciation of the album. Music video of the title song, directed by Bigyan Rai and performed by Rajan Khatiwada, was also released on the occasion.
According to a press statement issued on Tuesday, Thamsuhang had launched his previous album ‘Awasesh’ in 2012.
