Drinking water projects worth Rs 190 million stalled for years

DAILEKH, June 28: Two much-hyped drinking water projects of Dailekh-Majhuwa and Badalamji have failed to make any progress for the last decade. With the objective of supplying drinking water to the dense and dry settlements, the government has planned to spend Rs 190 millions for these two projects.

15-yr-old dies in Chhaupadi shed

ACHHAM, Dec 19: Roshani Tiruwa, 15, of Gajra - 7 died on Saturday night in Chhaupadi goth (isolated shed) where women and girls and kept during menstruation. Her family members found her body lying in the shed on Saturday morning. This is the second incident of Chhaupadi death in Achham within a month. On November 19, Dambara Upadhyay, 21, was found dead in Chhaupadi shed.
