Secretaries make recommendations to CDC

KATHMANDU, July 8: The Electoral Constituency Delineation Commission (CDC) was suggested by high-ranking government officials to work by ensuring maximum benefit and minimum damage.



At an interaction with the Chief Secretary, Parliament-Secretariat General Secretary and government secretaries on Monday, the CDC was also urged to consider the present state of administration and law and order, the atmosphere leading up to the November 19 elections, the mood of the general voters and the political parties before reaching to any conclusion in delimiting the constituencies. They also were of the view that the work of the Commission should be satisfying to the people at large.



"The Commission was suggested to delimit the constituencies considering the population growth and by analyzing the previous elections" said Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister Krishna Hari Banskota.



Chief Secretary Lilamani Poudel, General Secretary of Parliament Secretariat Manohar Bhattarai, government secretaries and high-ranking officials took part in the deliberations organized by the Commission.
