Panel to draft new judicial plan

KATHMANDU, May 11: The Supreme Court formed a seven-member taskforce to draft a new strategic plan for the judiciary, as the current plan is expiring in mid-July, according to Til Prasad Shrestha, SC spokesperson. Justice Kalyan Shrestha has been named head of the taskforce that has 45 days of time to complete the assignment.



The committee has been formed a day after newly appointed Chief Justice Min Bahadur Rayamajhee assumed his office. In his commitment paper to the media, he promised to come up with a new strategic plan for the judiciary.
