Draft of election code of conduct unveiled

The Commission has solicited recommendations and inputs from different stakeholders on the draft within a week. The draft was made public through the official website of the commission seeking inputs on the preliminary draft.

KATHMANDU, Nov 17: The Election Commission has made public a draft of the code of conduct of the election to the House of Representatives (HoR) member announced for coming March 5. 



The Commission has solicited recommendations and inputs from different stakeholders on the draft within a week. The draft was made public through the official website of the commission seeking inputs on the preliminary draft.

The EC has come up with the initiative to conduct upcoming election in a free, fair, impartial, transparent and cost effective manner. 


In a statement issued by EC's spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai today, it is stated that the commission has urged the political parties, various government and non-government organizations and general public as well as the stakeholders to provide their feedbacks on the draft within November 23.
