1,275 cases of crime registered at Kathmandu police in a month

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: As many as 1,275 cases of crime have been registered in the country's federal capital, Kathmandu, in a month.


Organizing a press conference on Friday, the District Police Range Kathmandu informed that a total of 1,275 cases were registered during a month from mid-July to mid-August in different incidents.

Spokesperson of the District Police Range, SP Kumod Dhungel said the number of criminal incidents has increased in the month of Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) this year than in the same month last year.


The highest number of cases registered were of banking offenses, police said. 560 banking offense related cases were registered in the month this year.
