SSP Subedi claimed that the two police bodies are ready to join their forces to control crime in the capital.

“Both the offices have the same target - to control crime in the capital,” he said, adding, “We hosted this press conference to send a clear message of unity.”

Similarly, chief of the MPCD, SSP Thapa claimed that the police fraternity should send a message of unity at a time when criminals seem to have joined forces too.

“If the criminals can unite then why can't we?” he said.

He expressed commitment to work together with the MPR to maintain peace and security in the capital with a focus on bringing social and cyber crimes under control. Both the SSPs have claimed that the police will take stern action against criminals.
