KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Metropolitan Crime Division Kathmandu of the Nepal Police has arrested a murder convict after 14 years of the crime committed.
A squad of police from the division arrested Hikmat Hamal from Samakhusi on Friday, who had been charged of murdering Jivan Lohani at Samakhusi Ranibari in the capital in October 2004.
Hamal had been absconding following the murder of 18-year-old Lohani who had been staying in a rental room at Samakhusi Ranibari when the incident took place.

Dhiraj Pratap Singh, chief at the Metropolitan Crime Division, told Republica Online that they have launched further investigation into the incident taking the murder convict into the custody.
