DHADING, Oct 3: The alternative route opened after the Furkekhola Bridge along the Prithvi Highway in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2, Dhading, was washed away will remain closed for five hours today for maintenance.
According to the District Administration Office, all vehicles will be barred from using the Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Mastar road section from 10 am to 3 pm today.
TIA to remain closed for 10 hours a day starting today
Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandeya said vehicular movement has been halted during the period to carry out maintenance work at various points along the alternative route.
The concrete bridge over Furkekhola was washed away by a flash flood in the Bhotekoshi River on August 26. Since then, the Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Mastar road section has been used as an alternative route.
The District Administration Office has urged passengers and drivers to use the Dhading-Besi-Sunaulabazar-Bhorle-Kosikhola-Phosretar-Kalleritar road section or other alternative routes while the road remains closed.
