KAPILVASTU, Sept 11: Two women drowned in a local rivulet in Kaplivastu district. The deceased have been identified as Indrawati Yadav, 33, and Rima Kohar, 15, of Yashodhara rural municipality-2 in the district, said police.

The incident took place as they had gone to cut grass to make a broom. Indrawati drowned in the rivulet when she went to save Rima after seeing her falling down into the rivulet.
