Rajaram Lasiba aged around 33 died when fire engulfed his two-roomed house at Jhaukhel VDC-8 in Bhaktapur while asleep last night, police confirmed.
Locals informed nearby police about the incident of fire at the home of Lasiba at 6.00 am this morning.
Police sent the dead body of Lasiba to Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu for post-mortem this morning.
Meanwhile, another fire incident occurred at Dadhikot VDC-7-based furniture company owned by Dhruba Shrestha and Raju Khatiwada.
Loss worth around Rs 500,000 was incurred as most of the timbers kept inside the furniture industry was almost turned to ashes in the incident, police further informed.
The inferno that took place at around 11.15 PM last night was taken under control with the help of fire engine, police and locals.
Causes behind the fire in both of the incidents are yet to be identified, police said.
