Karate player's support to quake victims
KATHMANDU: Former karate player Ujjwal Thakuri, who has been living in Washington DC of USA, has provided financial support of Rs 20,000 for the victims of devastating earthquake. Thakuri provided the support through Nepal National and International Players' Association. Thakuri has pledged to provide $ 200 every month for a year to help the earthquake victims.
NC sports wing helps clear rubble
KATHMANDU: Members of Nepal Democratic Sports Association, a sister wing of Nepali Congress, on Monday volunteered to clear the rubbles of buildings that collapsed in the earthquake in Khokana of Lalitpur. They demolished the damaged houses, which had been posing danger to pedestrians, according to the association.
NVA distributes relief to quake victims
KATHMANDU: Nepal Volleyball Association-Kathmandu on Monday distributed relief materials and cash to the quake affected in Samathali VDC of Rasuwa district. A team headed by Sudarshan Jamarkattel, president of the association, distributed cash and food materials to the quake affected families.
