National shito-ryu karate team leaves for UAE

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: National shito-ryu karate team has left for the United Arab Emirates to participate in JKS Cup scheduled for February 1. 


The 17-member team associated with the Nepal Shito-ryu Karate Do Association includes coaches Gajendra Saud and Binod Shakya Guvaju, athletes Gagan Pun, Digambar Prasad Panta, Ram Tamang, Laxman Tamang, Sagar Shahi, Sushil Poudel, Krishna Bista, Rohit Budhathoki, Sujan Shrestha, Phinchowk Dorje Lama and Palmo Lama, judges Sirjana Adhikari and Hira Devi Rai and managers Sirjana Dhungana and Ganesh Prasad Aryal.

Former minister Lekhraj Bhatta base farewell to the team and wished it all success, amid a programme on Wednesday. 


Likewise, a nine-member Nepal Wado-ryu karate team is leaving for India today to take part in the Third International Karate Tournament scheduled for February 1-3.
