KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Nepal defended the title of the South Asian Wado-ryu Karate Championship held in Gujarat, India on Saturday and Sunday.

Champion of the last edition Nepal claimed 10 gold, three silvers and a bronze medal in the event. In last edition, Nepal had claimed nine gold, six silvers and two bronze medals to claim the title.
Nepal won seven gold medals in singles event and three in team kata section. Nepali team returned on Wednesday after taking part in the championship.
