The win lifted fourth-place Sankata with 24 points to the top of the table, pushing behind Tusal Club and Birgunj Youth Academy to second and third positions respectively. Despite having equal 24 points Tusal dropped to the second spot on the basis of goal difference. Birgunj has 23 points from 11 matches, while Sankata has played 12 and Tusal 13.[break]
Sankata and Tusal were awarded three points apiece and 2-0 win automatically after Gyan Bhairav was relegated to C division by ANFA citing unsporting behavior. Gyan Bhairav had played 12 matches and was yet to play against Sankata and Tusal. Star is in the sixth place with 20 points from 11 matches.
In Tuesday´s match, Ritesh Khadka and Bikram Adhikari netted twice each in either half. Khadka opened the scoring in the 14th minute and doubled the advantage in the 52nd. Rajesh Kumar Deshar cut the goal deficit in the 34th minute to make the score 2-1.
But in the second half, Adhikari scored twice in the 52nd and 57th minutes to wrap up the match 4-1 in favor of Sankata.
In another match, Samajik Yuva Club beat Boys Union Club 1-0 with a lone goal from Anil Dhimal in the fifth minute.
The win lifted 11th-place Samajik to 8th position with 14 points, while ninth-place Boys Union dropped one spot in the table with 13 points. Both the teams have played 11 matches each.
