“Since these anomalies are common, we have asked the proprietors to make amendments and submit necessary documents within 3 to 7 days, depending on instruction issued to each individual,” said DoC Director Prem Prasad Paudel.
The inspection team found that the Indreni Oil Store had hoarded 264 liters of diesel, while Right Mart was selling label-less items to customers. ASS Store and Bhimsen Enterprises in Pulchowk were also found selling items without labels and had failed to put up signboards. Another grocery in Pulchowk -- Krishna Store -- did not have price menu board, purchase bills, and was selling date-expired products.
Likewise, the inspection team on Thursday monitored three groceries: Santosh Khadhya Store, Anita Khadhya Store and Mukesh Khadya Store in Kalmati.
These stores had failed to update prices on display board, maintain cleanliness and renew their operating permits and licenses of weighing machines. These stores were also found selling date-expired products.
