Sajha Yatayat introducing 30 new buses in capital

KATHMANDU, March 24: Sajha Yatayat has signed an agreement with Ashok Leyland Ltd, India for procuring 30 units of city buses.

Kanak Mani Dixit, chairman of Sajha Yatayat and Gaurav Kumar, representative of Ashok Leyland Ltd. India signed the contract, a statement issued by the organization said on Thursday.

Kapil Shiwakoti, chief executive officer of LT Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, the sole distributor of Ashok Leyland vehicles in Nepal, said that addition of the buses to Sajha Yatayat's existing fleet of buses will be a milestone in Kathmandu's urban transport while speaking at the program.

"With the capacity of ferrying more than 100 passengers at a time, these buses will help in reducing passenger's transportation woes during office hours," Shiwakoti said.

Sajha Yatayat has been supported by the Kathmandu Municipality Office for procuring and operating these new buses for easing transportation in the capital.
