Rs 97.33b collected as revenue within 5 mths

KATHMANDU, Dec. 31: The Government has recorded a revenue collection of Rs. 97.33 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2012/13.



The collection so far is 101.55 per cent of the target. The government has targeted to make a collection of Rs. 289 billion in the fiscal year 2012/13.



During the same period, Rs. 74.4 billion was released for current and capital expenditure and for fiscal management, according to Finance Ministry Spokesperson Krishna Devkota.



As of December 15, the government has received foreign assistance worth Rs. 8.5 billion and a commitment for foreign assistance worth Rs. 12.3 billion, according to the Finance Ministry.
