KATHMANDU, April 14: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized that every citizen must adopt positive thinking, behavior, and inner strength to achieve the shared goal of building a prosperous nation and ensuring the happiness of its people.
Wishing Nepalis at home and abroad a joyful New Year 2082 BS, PM Oli expressed hope that the year would bring happiness, peace, prosperity, progress, success, and fresh enthusiasm into everyone's lives. He expressed confidence that the country can move towards a brighter future by building on the achievements secured despite numerous challenges.
"In this New Year, we pursue new energy, fresh resolutions, and untapped possibilities. I believe this year will inspire all of us to foster hope, enthusiasm, and a positive mindset. We all share the commitment to make our country prosperous and our people happy," he said in his message.
Is Critical Thinking Really Critical?

He stressed that the government cannot fulfill the nation's collective aspirations alone. "We can only succeed when all Nepalis-inside and outside the country-join hands, contribute, and work together," he said.
Highlighting Nepal's ethnic, regional, cultural, and religious diversity as national assets, he urged everyone to view these differences as sources of unity and strength, not division.
He said that development no longer remains a dream but has started to materialize. He highlighted the physical infrastructure developed in rural areas, the positive changes it has brought to daily life, and improvements in social services as the key achievements of Nepal's democratic system.
Identifying youth as the nation's greatest strength, he said the government has implemented policies to empower them through entrepreneurship, technology, education, and self-employment, enabling them to become confident and self-reliant contributors to national progress.
"We must not simply observe the changes brought by our democratic system, we must also embrace them, celebrate them, and dedicate ourselves to advancing them in a constructive direction," PM Oli stated. "We must defeat the forces that spread despair and aim to mislead the country, and instead move forward with faith in patriotism, unity, and progress."
