Deuba camp challenges SC order recognizing Thapa-led NC committee

KATHMANDU, July 24: The Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress (NC) filed a review petition at the Supreme Court (SC) on its order issued earlier on the working committee elected by the special general convention of the Nepali Congress.

Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala informed that the faction led by former NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba filed a review petition against the final order of the SC over the dispute within the NC- legitimacy and leadership of the party.


Earlier, a bench of Justices Sharanga Subedi and Nripadhwaj Niraula had recognized the working committee of President Gagan Kumar Thapa elected by the special general convention.
