KATHMANDU, April 11: A senior government minister has given ultimatum to social media platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube: register with the government by mid-April—or prepare to be unplugged.
The government has formed a three-member committee to study the role of the security mechanism in implementing the report of the probe commission on the Gen-Z protests held on September 8-9, 2025.
