Pokhara promoted in Indian cities

KATHMANDU, April 3: Western Regional Hotel Association Pokhara, in partnership with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), organized a promotional program entitled ‘Chaliye Pokhara’ translated as ‘Visit Pokhara’ in four Indian cities.

NTB in a statement said that the promotional event was organized in Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi and Sonauli cities of India.


The 27-member delegation from Nepal, which kicked off this 5-day promotional tour in Kanpur on 27 March, was greeted with an enthusiastic and positive response from the local travel trade, and also the local media, according to the statement.

The Lucknow leg of the program on 28 March was participated in by three ministers of Uttar Pradesh Province. On the occasion, they expressed solidarity and strong support for cross-border tourism and commitment towards expanding its scope.
