“It’s difficult to believe that it’s been 10 years since I performed my début solo performance at the Birendra International Convention Centre,” said Phatteman Rajbhandari, adding, “I was 67 then and many people did’nt believe I could sing. I’, 77 now and I’m still singing because of the motivation from nepalaya.”
Along with Phatteman, nepa~laya has worked with about 40 senior creators of Nepali adhunik.
“It’s been 10 years since we worked in music and more than 50 shows dedicated to Nepali adhunik and it definitely deserves a celebration,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha of nepa~laya.

“It’s a great pleasure for me to be part of the Paleti movement,” said Aavaas. “To be performing on the same stage as my Guru – Amber Sir – my revered senior Shanti Didi and Phatteman Dai is a great honor for me.”
Paleti Utsav will be held at the Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School in Jawlakhel, Patan.
The booking for the shows are open, which have been managed by nepa~laya in association with Tewa, a social organization. Proceeds from the Phatteman show, for instance, will go to Tewa for its social initiatives.
