According to Suraj Singh, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Baitadi, snowfall has been reported in high-altitude areas including Khodpe, Shreebhawar, Dholyamod, Musyachor, Saatbanjh, and Dehimadau. Despite the wintry mix, highways remain open with no reported disruptions.

Snow has also been recorded in the Byas and Apihimal regions of Darchula, as well as in Dadeldhura district headquarters, including Hagulte, Sahukharka, and Bhatkanda.
Local farmers welcomed the precipitation, as it comes after nearly four months of dry weather that had left winter crops such as wheat struggling. "This snowfall gives us hope that our crops will recover," said one farmer.
Meanwhile, the temperature has dropped significantly. Health workers are urging residents to take necessary precautions against the cold.
