KATHMANDU, June 25: One person has died due to an electric shock in Tikathali, Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Lalitpur. The deceased is a 64-year-old local, Ashakaji Maharjan.
One dies due to electrocution

He died after getting electrocuted while draining water from a pit dug for the foundation of an under-construction house in the same area, said Spokesperson for Nepal Police Deputy Inspector General Binod Ghimire.
He was seriously injured from the electric shock and died on the way to the hospital.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, a fire broke out due to a short circuit at BT Shoes Centre, operated by Bishnu Paheli in Nakkhu, Ward 18 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, destroying goods worth around Rs 200,000.
Police said that with the help of residents, they managed to bring the fire under control and are now conducting further investigation into the incident.
