Both Nepalgunj and Janakpur recorded nine-wicket victory against Region no 8 (Pokhara) and Region no 2 (Birgunj) respectively while APF completed a six-wicket victory against Region no 1 (Biratnagar) and Dhangadhi defeated Region no 4 (Bhairahawa) by seven wickets.
In the matches held at Pokhara Stadium, Nepalgunj restricted Pokhara, which won the toss and elected to bat first, to meager 16 runs, out of which, 12 runs came from extras.Arya Aryal, highest scorer for Pokhara, remained unbeaten with two runs while Ojaswi Giri and Sadikchya Pandey contributed a run each with the latter remaining not out.
Woman-of-the-match Trishna Singh and Samjhana Sharma claimed three wickets each for Nepalgunj.
The 20-over rain-hit match was reduced to six overs and Nepalgunj was required to score 14 runs in five overs after the target was revised as per parabola method.
In response, Sanju Chaudhary scored six runs, including a four, for Nepalgunj while Manisha Rawal contributed three runs as it achieved its target in the first over itself at the loss of one wicket.
Arya Aryal took the only wicket of Gita Gossai for Pokhara.
Likewise, in another encounter, Sita Ranamagar claimed three wickets and Sarita Magar contributed unbeaten 23 runs to help APF defeat Biratnagar by seven wickets.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Biratnagar posted a 49-run target for APF at the loss of all wickets in the 18th over.
Kajol Shrestha scored highest nine runs for Biratnagar.
In reply, APF achieved its target at the loss of four wickets in 12.5 overs.
Apsari Begam claimed two wickets for Biratnagar.
In the matches held at Campachaur Ground in Chitwan, woman-of-the-match, Anuradha Chaudhary picked up one wicket and contributed an unbeaten 17 runs as Janakpur defeated Birgunj by nine wickets.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Birgunj posted a 68-run target against Janakpur at the loss of five wickets in its allotted 20 overs. Sita Shrestha scored highest 15 runs while Rojina Aryal contributed 14 runs.
Saraswati Chaudhary, Santoshi Chaudhary, Anuradha Chaudhary and Shanti Chaudhary took one wicket each for Janakpur.
In response, Janakpur attained its target in 11.4 overs at the loss of one wicket.
Shova Ale and Mamata Chaudhary contributed 19 runs each for Janakpur.
In another match, Nirmala Shahi, who was adjudged woman-of-the-match, quick-fired an unbeaten 31 runs off 27 balls in Dhangadhi's seven-wicket victory over Bhairahawa. Her innings included five fours. Nirmala Chand also remained unbeaten in her 16 runs off 17 balls. She scored two fours as Dhangadhi achieved its 85-run target at the loss of three wickets in 15.2 overs.
Earlier, winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bhairahawa posted a 84/10 in allotted 20 overs.
Barsha Rana Magar scored highest 19 runs for Bhairahawa while Sonu Khadka took two wickets for Dhangadhi.
