Reports of PM asking three ministers to resign are false: Minister Kharel

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has denied rumours that Prime Minister Sushila Karki asked three ministers to resign.



Speaking to Republica on Tuesday, Minister Kharel, who also serves as the government spokesperson, said the reports were misleading.

His remarks come amid social media reports claiming that Prime Minister Karki had advised Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, Sports Minister Bablu Gupta, and Kharel himself to step down, allegedly for prioritising political activities over their ministerial responsibilities.


Kharel clarified, “The Prime Minister has not asked anyone to resign. There is no truth to these claims.”
