JAJARKOT, March 1: A man has died of suffering severe burns when he jumped onto the burning pyre at Thalaraikar in Jajarkot district on Monday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Jajarkot Dan Bahadur Malla confirmed that 60-year-old Man Bahadur Thapa died after jumping onto the pyre.
It is said that Thapa jumped onto the funeral pyre of Dilbar Khatri, one who died of natural cause, all of sudden by giving a shock all other mourners.The incident having the semblance of Sati tradition has also shocked one and all in the district. RSS
