Govt formally requests India to end cross border obstacle

KATHMANDU, Nov 9: The government has formally requested India to end obstruction of transit and supplies through border points.

A Cabinet meeting held on Monday asked the southern neighbor to contribute for strengthening bilateral relationship by easing operation at entry points as it has affected import of essentials including medicines and fuel.Similarly, the meeting urged the agitating parties to end their protests stating that attempts are on to seek solution through talks, arrangements have been made for free treatment to injured, process has begun to withdraw false cases and decision to provide Rs one million to deceased families has been implemented.

Likewise, the cabinet appointed UML Politburo member Bishnu Rimal as Political Advisor to Prime Minister and Niru Pal as Public Relations Advisor, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai said.

Moreover, economic expert Govinda Nepal has been appointed as Economic Advisor at Ministry for Finance.
