Through the Integrated Service National Guidelines for the Victims of Gender-Based Violence and the Affected People, 2072, the government will set the minimum standard of the basic humanitarian services and facilities to the victims of gender-based violence - especially women and children.
Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Radhika Aryal said the Guidelines is being introduced for rescuing and rehabilitating the GBV survivors and the affected people, and for providing basic humanitarian services at one place.
She said the Ministry has prepared the preliminary draft of the Guidelines and holding consultations with the stakeholders.
Joint Secretary Aryal expressed the belief that the document will also provide guidelines to the government bodies, organizations, the NGOs and INGOs as well as the donor agencies working in Nepal in the promotion and protection of human rights.
The objective of the Guidelines to provide the services related to the prevention of all types of gender-based violence in an integrated and effective manner and to ensure violence-free living. RSS
