POKHARA, May 18: The Buddha's philosophy and precepts on world peace, fraternity and human welfare have become the guiding principles today not only for the Buddhists but to the entire humanity.
Gandaki state chief minister Prithvi Subba Gurung stated this in a message of best wishes he gave on the occasion of the 2563rd Buddha Jayanti (the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha) today.

The Chief Minister has also expressed his commitment to continuously keep working for building peace and a peaceful, just and prosperous society while being motivated by the Buddha's teaching: 'There is suffering in this world, there are reasons for the suffering, the suffering can be eliminated and there are ways of alleviating this sorrow.'
