Dangi's body finally brought to Kathmandu

DANG, Oct 2: The body of Chandra Bahadur Dangi, a Guinness World Record holder as the world's shortest man, has been brought to Nepal from the American Samoa after almost a month of his death. A cargo of Malaysia Air landed in Nepal on Friday at 11:30 am with Dangi's body.

His nephew Dolakh Bahadur Dangi, who had been waiting for Dangi's body in Kathmandu for the past few days, claimed the body upon its arrival. He informed that Dangi's body will be taken to Dang for final rites.Dangi, 75, had died on September 4 at Lyndon B Johnson Tropical Medical Center in Pago Pago, the territorial capital of American Samoa while reveiving treatment. He was diagnosed with pneumonia. Financial and legal complexities had caused the delay in bringing his body back to the country.
