NAWALPARASI, April 8: A team deputed from the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday held two files related to the bidding of Sunawal municipality in west-Nawalparasi.
Acting on a complaint that bidding was not being done in line with the stated criteria, the anti-graft body took control of the files in course of the investigation.

Earlier, the Sunawal municipality had contracted out the bidders to extract river materials from Panbharkhola Jargaha bridge to the north and Panbharkhola Jargaha bridge to the south.
A complaint was lodged at the CIAA office noting the contract out was not in line with the stipulated criteria. Acting on this, the constitutional watchdog body took the move, the CIAA source said. RSS
