China asks Nepal to curb anti-China activities

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: A bilateral meeting between the senior security officials of Nepal and China concluded at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

In the meeting, Nepal briefed about its one-china policy assuring that no anti-China activities will be allowed in the Nepali territory.


Issues related to bilateral ties, border security, among others were discussed in the meeting, said Jhabindra Aryal, head of the North Asia Division at the Ministry.

On the occasion, the Chinese side urged the Nepali officials to be more alert not to allow any anti-China activities as religious, cultural and other fairs would be celebrated in coming March.

The Chinese delegation was led by Director General of External Security Affairs of the Ministry of External Affairs of China, Liu Gaungyun and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai among other officials.

Also present on the occasion from the Nepali side were senior officials of Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nepal Police and Armed Police Force. RSS
