KATHMANDU, Dec. 2: The UCPN (Maoist) party has claimed that the incumbent Prime Minister would be leading the next government of national consensus.

Speaking at a press meet organized by the party at its headquarters in Koteswor on Sunday, spokesperson of the party Agni Sapkota said considering the discussion held with other political parties it seems the national consensus government would be formed under the leadership of incumbent prime minister.

Spokesperson Sapkota said, "The most constitutional and practical way forward is for the NC and CPN-UML to join the government led by the incumbent Prime Minister and hold CA elections in coming May".

There was no way that the present government could be replaced from the constitutional and legal perspective, he claimed and expressed the confidence that a political consensus would be reached in a day or two.

Sapkota also blamed the opposition parties of instigating the President in the lust for power and said the problem could not resolved with the President´s wish alone if the parties don´t come together.

On a different note, the Maoist leader said it was unfortunate to see the so-called human rights activists running after him by raising cases that took place during the people´s war, and claimed that their plan would never be successful.

Leader Sapkota also denied of any kind of involvement in the murder of Arjun Lama of Kavre.
