Another horrible round from Bikash Bogati

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Nepal No 1 Amateur golfer Bikash Bogati played another horrible round of golf during the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship and carded 20-over 92 on Friday, the second day of the tournament being held at the Amata Spring Country Club in Bangkok, Thailand.



Bogati has a total of 34-over 178 and finished in the 116th position among the 120 participants from 36 countries. Bogati started the round from Hole No 10 with a par. [break]



He carded bogeys on 11th and 12th holes, double bogeys on the 14th and 18th holes and triple bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes. He carded birdies on the 13th and 15th holes to complete the front nine with 10-over 46. He carded another 10-over on the back nine on Friday.



On the other hand, China´s 14-year-old Tianlang Guan carded eight-under 64 to add to his overnight score of six-under 66. His second round card included nine birdies against a lone bogey. With the 36-hole total of 14-under 130, Guan extended his lead to five shots over Thailand´s Prin Sirisommai and Australian Oliver Goss. They shot impressive seven-under 65 to share the second position at nine-under 135.



Shahi falters on Day II



Nepali pro golfer Toran Bikram Shahi, who had taken lead on the first day with a card of four-under 68, faltered to two-over 74 on Friday in the second day of the DLF Masters 2012, an event under Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI).



Shahi dropped to the sixth place after the second round with a total score of two-under 142. Ajeetesh Sandhu of India is on the top of the leader board with a total score of eight-under 136. Sandhu had carded two-under 70 on Thursday and six-under 66 on Friday.
