KHOTANG, July 4: Former lawmaker Arjun Rai, who was attacked by a gang, has been airlifted to Kathmandu from the district headquarters on a helicopter for further treatment on Monday.

In the wake of the attack, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoFA) on Sunday directed all the security agencies of the Capital City to step up surveillance on suspicious people and sensitive areas.
