KATHMANDU, March 30: The Supreme Court is set to hear habeas corpus petitions filed by former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak on Monday, following their arrest over alleged involvement in the crackdown during the Gen-Z protests.
Both leaders moved the court on Sunday, claiming they were being held unlawfully. Oli’s petition has been assigned to the bench of Justice Meghraj Pokharel, while Lekhak’s case will be heard by Justice Kumar Regmi.
Durga Prasai files habeas corpus petition in Supreme Court
The two were arrested on Saturday on the recommendation of an investigation commission formed to probe the incidents of September 8 and 9.
