JHAPA, March 30: A landslide has obstructed the Mechi Highway again since this morning. The highway had resumed one-way traffic on Sunday night after the landslide debris was cleared.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Ilam, Laxmi Bhandari, said the highway was completely blocked after a dry landslide recurred this morning.
Efforts are underway to resume traffic, Bhandari added. The dry landslide occurred at Bagkhor in Rong Rural Municipality-4 of Ilam district. A truck (Pra 1-01-001 Kha 43334) heading toward Jhapa from Ilam was buried in the landslide, police said. However, no human casualties have been reported.
