NRNs in Texas contribute Rs 21.5 million for Bhotekoshi flood survivors

The Nepali community in Texas has contributed Rs 21.517 million to support the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods in Nepal.

TEXAS, Sept 18: The Nepali community in Texas has contributed Rs 21.517 million to support the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods in Nepal.

According to the Nepali Consul General in Dallas, the contributions came from Lama Foundation (Bedford), which donated Rs 10.7 million; India Bazaar, Fort Worth, Rs 3.817 million; One Step Foundation, Rs 2.5 million; Avant Foundation, Rs 1.5 million; Palpali Sangam America, Rs 1.5 million; and Nuwakot Picnic Group Texas, Rs 1.5 million.


Meanwhile, the Nepali Public Relations Committee (NPRC) America, a sister organization of the Nepali Congress, has separately announced that it sent US$66,195.88 collected from its 18 chapters to the Government of Nepal through the Nepali Congress's Disaster Mitigation Fund.
