GERMANY, Nov 19: Minister for Population and Environment, Mithila Chaudhary has said the non-resident Nepalis (NRNs) living and working in various countries across the world could significantly contribute by investing knowledge and capital for the motherland's prosperity.
The Minister, who arrived in Germany to participate in the 23rd conference of parties under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Bonn, said this while speaking in a reception organized by Nepal-Germany Friendship Association here on Saturday.

She said it would help publicize Nepal and enhance its image in the international arena if the Nepalis in whichever country they are in worked to enhance their motherland's dignity.
National Planning Commission (NPC) member Dr. Prabhu Budhathoki also urged the Nepalis living and working abroad to invest their knowledge, skills and capital back in their home country, saying the country was now heading towards economic prosperity and stability with the end of the political transition.
President of the Nepal-Germany Friendship Association and Consular General, Ram Pratap Thapa said the government of Germany was ready to extend any type of support to Nepal for its economic development and talks need to be held at the governmental level for the same. He also pointed out the need of study of diaspora economy.
Nepali nationals from various walks of life and currently residing in Germany and students were present on the occasion. RSS
