Budhigandaki crosses danger level at Arughat; residents urged to avoid riverbanks

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Floodwaters in the Budhigandaki River have crossed the danger level. With water levels still rising, the Flood Forecasting Division has urged people to stay away from riverbanks until the flood passes.

According to a notice issued at 8 a.m. today, the river crossed the danger level at Arughat.


The division warned that the river’s flow was continuing to increase and urged people along the stretch from Arughat to the confluence with the Trishuli River to avoid riverbanks and remain on safe, higher ground.
